Integrated Renal Transplant Unit (Urology, Nephrology & Dialysis)

NMC Hospital, in the year 1990, established a full-fledged integrated Renal Transplant Unit with Urology, Nephrology and Dialysis facilities. NMC’s Renal Transplant Unit is the first of its kind in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Since its inception in 1990, when the NMC Hospital performed the first kidney transplant in Noida & adjoining areas of western U.P. and became a recognized pioneer in the field of renal transplantation, we have been committed to expanding the staff, resources and technical support necessary to stay in the forefront of transplant technology. In addition, the Centre has already performed more than 350 kidney transplants and 16000 dialysis at a success rate comparable to the published series. 

To provide the highest quality care for patients facing transplantation and their families, we have developed a surgical-medical team approach lead by eminent renal transplant surgeon - Dr. Harsha Jauhari, MS, FRCS, FICS, FAIS. A core of experts with diverse surgical, medical, sociological and technical expertise are assigned to each transplant patient. With their combined talents, resources and experience, they care for patients’ physical, mental and sociological needs as well as their medical requirements. The diversity of the team’s background and areas of specialization has become one of our Transplant Center’s strongest elements.
