The Laboratory service is an important component of any health care center. We all know today investigations play a vital role in the management of any illness. They provide us with clues that help decide on the treatment modality.

Accuracy speed and precision are vital characteristics of any good and progressive laboratory. The Laboratory is fully automated and has state-of-the-art equipment that analyses all blood and body fluid parameters. The department of Laboratory Medicine is among few others in the country to offer reliable and reproducible quality results. The Department of Lab Medicine includes Biochemistry, Haematology, Cytopathology, Histopathology, Serology, Microbiology and Clinical Pathology sections.

The department boasts of it's quality through the numerous quality control programs (internal & external) that it carries out. The department functions "round-the-clock" throughout the year offering Inpatient and Outpatient testing capabilities with an extremely comprehensive menu of investigations to choose from which includes routine and specialised investigations.

The laboratory has sophisticated state-of-the-art fully automated Syomex cell count analyzer, Cobasintegra fully automatic biochemistry analyser, Immulite chemilluminescent Harmone analyser etc.

The dimension has cap piercing continuous loading and reporting facilities and bar code identification system. It is capable of handling 300 tests per hour and can perform 42 tests in General chemistry, enzymes, drugs and electrolytes.

The laboratory also has the PHOX Blood gas analyzer, Biolyte 200 Electrolyte Analyzer, BTR-810, Sysmex KX-21 Haematology Analyzer and Option 2 Plus Coagulometer.

Stringent quality control is carried out for all tests with maintain of turnaround time.
